Special considerations for short-term rental linens

Quality of wash matters more

Guests notice fabric softener residue, fading, and pilling more than a personal user would because they're checking everything. We use commercial-grade detergent and skip fabric softener by default (it traps bacteria in towels). If you have a brand preference, we'll use it — just tell us.

Towels lose 5-10% absorbency per year

Hot wash + commercial dryers wear towels down. We can adjust to cooler wash for newer high-quality towels if you tell us — extends life by 30%+.

White-on-white sorting

Most Airbnb linens are white. We sort by fabric weight, not color, so towels and sheets dry properly together. If you mix in colored items, separate them or expect us to.

Stain triage

Wine, makeup, body fluids, food — we pre-treat what we see. If it doesn't come out, we tell you when we deliver. No charge if a stain doesn't come out (we don't penalize for things we can't control).
